Following Caroline Terpstra’s stepping down as Head of Design to take up the position of Director Academic Excellence the leadership of Te Maru Pūmanawa | College of Creative Practice & Enterprise has been reorganised.
Architecture and the Food Design Institute, which were previously incorporated into Design, have been separated out.
Adrian Woodhouse takes over as Head of the Food Design Institute, and Associate Professor Tobias Danielmeier as Head of Architecture.
Professor Margo Barton, Associate Professor Caro McCaw and Machiko Niimi will share the role of interim Head of Design until the position is filled. They will join Head of College Professor Federico Freschi, Dr Bridie Lonie, Head of the Dunedin School of Art, and Emma Hogg, Head of Business Programmes, on the College Leadership Team.
“The creation of an expanded College Leadership Team that is more representative of operational context of the College will enable better cross-disciplinary communication, collaboration and sharing of resources,” says Federico.
“I’m looking forward to working with the new team in the vibrant and creative space that is Te Maru Pūmanawa as we continue to build the strengths and profile of the exceptional range of programmes across the College.
"It is also great to have Adrian joining the team in the same week that he graduates with his Doctorate of Professional Practice. Congratulations Adrian!”
